Shimanami Kaido Bikeway
About 45 minutes from Hiroshima
city, half way between Okayama is the quaint port town of Onomichi, known for its beautiful
temples and sloping seaside hills. It’s also the starting point of a
unique attraction, the Shimanami Kaido bikeway, a spectacular 43-mile bike only highway
route that island-hops 6 islands across the Seto Inland Sea from Honshu to Shikoku.
